Polar Watch: The FT80
Having a regular exercise plan is vital to the body’s health. But just exercising to perform the action alone will not necessarily provide the results that a person is looking to achieve. Maybe it is desired to lose unwanted fat and build muscle, or maybe the doctor has suggested a more regular exercise routine. In either case the realization of proper exercise has become clear. Polar noticed the importance of optimizing the workout early. In 1977 they designed the first Polar watch or heart monitor. Naturally with time the heart watch and monitor exceeded its technological stature eventually becoming the Polar FT80.
The Latest in Heart Rate Monitors
The Polar FT80 is the newest of models in heart rate monitoring. The device allows the individual to reach peak performance while exercising without over doing it. Typically when people want to start exercising again, they try too hard. Over doing the exercise may not only cause damage to the muscles, but the individual may quit too soon. Either situation will result in negative results for the workout.
In 1977 Polar designed the first heart monitor for the Finnish National Cross Country Ski Team. The ski team used the monitor as a tool to assist in reaching the optimal heart rate during training. It is not enough just to exercise because results may never happen. Over doing the workout may cause the individual to quit exercising too soon. Under estimating the workout needs may not provide in results at all.
At the time the heart rate monitor that was designed, sufficed ski teams needs. The Polar FT80 has since advanced with the times.
Polar FT80 Features
The makers of the Polar FT80 understand that the needs of exercise vary with age, gender and current body weight. That is why utilizing a heart rate monitor during exercise is not only important, but it will help in a workout truly designed for a specific body.
Some of the major features of the FT80 Polar Watch include:
Strength Training Guidance
This feature was designed to assist the individual during the workout. Individual workout sessions may be planned and followed with integrated online system.
Polar Star Training Program
This feature provides individuals with weekly targets. The idea behind it is to adapt the body to the workout. In the beginning stages of exercise, it is a good idea to start slowly and gradually build the body up to a certain workout mode. The Polar Star Training Program will assist in this area.
The Fitness Test
This feature is ideal for the cardiovascular workout. During aerobic sessions individuals have access to the fitness within minutes.
Polar Watch: Calorie View Ability
The ability to see how many calories have actually been burned is important to dieters. It can also be encouraging to know which exercise and at what levels burn different amounts of calories.
Access to Polar Watch FlowLink Feature
FlowLink is an online system that acts as a personal trainer. This can be beneficial for any workout. If the individual is over doing it a little too much the FlowLink will let him or her know.
These features were added to the Polar heart rate monitor with hopes of intensifying the individual’s training. The Polar FT80 still has all of the preceding features as well. This is what makes this a real awesome Polar watch.
