Polar heart monitors have been at the forefront of the heart monitor industry since the late 70’s. When the 90’s rolled round, there was a clamor for their products. It is able to be used in a wide range of sporting disciplines from cycling to running and swimming. What more can you ask for?

Functions and Features: Polar S725x

The Polar S725x heart rate monitor watch was originally designed for cyclists. It is a powerful cycling computer that comes with a heart rate monitor. It also gives a measurement of speed and distance. This Polar heart rate monitor also shows training and terrain conditions with altitude and temperature readings and added bonus. For further monitoring and analysis, this Polar heart rate monitor is able to send exercise data wirelessly to a computer using an infrared connection. It is one of only a few that is able to work wirelessly with mobile phones such as Nokia 5140 and 5140i. This allows the user to track data on the move.

In addition to these great features, it is able to display heart rate in beats per minute, show maximum heart rate as a percentage and in averages and display the duration of your workout or exercise. For cyclists, they are given an added bonus with the fact that the S725x can have two different wheel size bases entered in. This gives the cyclist the option of using two different bikes. It also comes with a large and easy to read display screen with great back lighting.

Cons

There have been a few complaints by users that the readings are sometimes a bit exaggerated. However, if the S725x is reset, this problem can be easily overcome. This has been a problem with a small number of users and is in no way something common with all the S725x Polar monitors.

If you are searching for a heart rate monitor to really get you through those fitness and weight loss goals, take a look at the Polar S725x. It is sure to not disappoint.
