Polar F11: A Review of One of the Best Heart Rate Monitors

The Polar Company has been the leader in the heart rate monitor industry for over thirty years. Their heart monitors have consistently ranked amongst the best for years. It all started in the late 70’s when they released their first accurate EKG monitor. This is where the fitness world was turned on its head. When the 90’s came, everyone from elite athletes to average Joes were running after Polar’s heart rate monitors.

Fast forward to June 2009, the Polar brand is announced the most innovative brand of the year in terms of sporting equipment by Plus X Awards. Plus X awards are given to exceptional manufacturing Companies who produce only the highest of standards of products. They also went on to win a host of other Plus X Awards for outstanding quality, functionality, design and innovations for products such as the Polar FT60 and Polar Cs600x. This proves that the Polar brand is by far the best out there. One of their other heart rate monitor watches that has also been considered the best heart rate monitor is the Polar F11. Here is a short review on this heart monitor.

Design, Functions and Features

The Polar F11 comes with so many great features and functions such as the Keeps U Fit fitness program that takes into account the users personal details and sets a training schedule for them. It also works to give the user feedback. It is the same as having a personal trainer with you during your workouts. The Polar F11 heart rate monitor also comes with a WearLink Coded Transmitter that works by canceling out any unwanted interference from other heart rate monitors or wireless devices. This ensures that the user gets data that is as accurate as possible.

This Polar Heart Rate Monitor also carries a few features that are unique only to Polar Heart monitors such as Polar OwnCal, Polar OwnZone and Polar OwnCode. The first, OwnCal is there to show the user the amount of calories and energy they have burnt up during their workouts. This may be for a single workout session only or an accumulated number of workouts. The next, Polar OwnZone, gives the user target heart rate zones where they should be in. It will tell you whether you are doing enough in your workouts or just whether you are pushing yourself to the point where your workouts are no longer productive. The Polar OwnCode feature works in conjunction with the Coded transmitter heart belt to ensure that all interference from other wireless devices are canceled out and the user is presented with accurate data reading.

Final Looks and Overall Assessment

The Polar F11 heart rate monitor watch also comes with a large and easy to read display screen with a back light and split screen option that is convenient for the user, automatic heart rate limit settings and a manual for use. The Polar F11 is also water resistant to a depth of 100 feet or 30 meters.

Overall, the Polar F11 looks to be an ideal heart rate monitor for people looking to either shed some weight or get fit. Polar have really outdone themselves with this model and that is why it has shown consistently high ratings on Amazon.com from users. If you are looking for a way to take your workouts to another level, do consider the Polar F11. It should not leave you disappointed.

What the heart rate monitors do compared to eachother is confusing. For instance, what is the difference between the Polar FT7 and the PolarFT11? by reading the reviews on this website , it seems like they do the same thing but with different language to describe what they do identically> can you tell me what the differences are in consistent language?
thank you
great website btw
