Shortfalls of the Omron HR-100C

At times, the connection from the chest strap to the watch is not that good. This however can be fixed by adjusting the strap and resetting the Omron watch. This heart monitor watch is a real simple monitor in both looks and function. It is a great all round watch for anyone looking to go up a few levels in their fitness.

Nike Triax C8

The Nike Triax C8 heart monitor is an ideal monitor for runners in that it was designed to not distract them. Designed by Coach Roy Benson, the Triax C8 has hardly any button pushing and comes with a nice display for easy viewing. It has heart rate zones that come with an alarm to warn users if they have fallen out of their zones. This helps in getting the most out of workouts. There are many people out there who go through hours of strenuous workouts with no increase in fitness. With either the Omron HR-100C or the Nike C8, this will not happen. Other minor features include a stop watch, alarm, lap memory of up to 50 laps and a time and date display. It is also waterproof.

Downside to the Nike C8 Heart Monitor

According to Amazon.com customer reviews, this Nike heart rate monitor has a four out of five user rating. There have been some complaints on the band of the watch. The band is just a bit too wide and can become a nuisance when its time to remove it. However, overall this Nike Heart Rate Monitor is a truly amazing instrument and should be a good fit for any serious athlete.
